8-Balls Pool
It is the goal of the game of sinking its group of balls, half (roved) or full, and subsequently the black 8. The balls are constructed in the triangle, the frontmost ball at the foot point, in the middle that 8 and ever a full and a half ball at the rear corners. A foul exists, if:

9-Balls Pool
The game most played on tournament is 9 balls. It has simple rules and is a fast game. Even if much safe is played, a 9 ball-party lasts generally not long.
